Carl Naylor, Auctioneer and Vice President of Jones Swenson Auction Marketing Company, started off 2008 touring with Texas Legends: Kinky Friedman and Steven Fromholz. The “Legends and Puppies Tour” was a 10 show, 6 city tour across Texas that raised money and awareness for the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch in Medina Texas. This is a no-kill sanctuary that rehabilitates injured and abandoned dogs before they are adopted by responsible families. As part of the “Variety Show”, Carl auctioned 5 Guitars and other memorabilia signed by Kinky, Steven and Willie Nelson. The show was a huge success and in addition to raising awareness for The Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch, the auction raised over $45,000 for the cause. Future tours and events are presently in the planning phase.
